FLAME
Fleet Layered Awareness and Monitoring Environment for Transport Cyber Resilience
FLAME addresses the increasing cybersecurity exposure of fleet management platforms in the European transport sector, where cloud services, containerised infrastructures, telematics data pipelines, mobile endpoints and third-party APIs expand the attack surface and challenge NIS2 compliance. Under Open Call 1, the project deploys and operationalises selected CYberSynchrony modules on iLINK’s live PowerFleet platform to establish a layered threat-to-response capability integrating threat intelligence (CYBERRA), continuous monitoring and detection engineering (CYBRITE), incident orchestration and validation (CYRESCUE), and human risk management (CYBERWISE).
Key activities include transport-specific risk scenario analysis, deployment and tuning of SIEM/IDS use cases, development of executable Defensive Cyber Operations playbooks through the Cymph platform, repeated posture assessments and breach simulations to quantify readiness improvement, and targeted awareness campaigns for operational staff. The project delivers measurable improvements in detection and response performance, reusable playbooks and monitoring configurations, and a structured cross-sector transfer pathway to other NIS2 domains, strengthening long-term infrastructure resilience and operational readiness.
